Are Kiss imPRESS Nails Worth it? A Complete Review and Tips
Are these nails cruelty-free?
imPRESS nails are a cruelty-free brand. I contacted the imPRESS nails brand via email and below is a screenshot of their response. imPRESS nails confirmed with me via email that they are a cruelty-free brand!
How to apply the imPRESS nails?
Each imPRESS nail kit includes handy instructions. The kit brings a handy small wipe to clean your nails. You plan which nail size you want to apply on each nail. You remove the plastic cover from the nail and then apply it to your own nail. Easy as that! Just make sure you are applying them on the correct side, which the handy instructions point out.
A quick tip: This is an optional step and I have done this in the past. Before I apply imPRESS nails I apply a layer of clear base coat nail polish. This is so that the imPRESS nail is not directly on my nail and I find it easier to remove.
How long do these nails last?
imPRESS nails are waterproof and have lasted up to three weeks on my fingers. The ideal time span is one week to keep them looking at their best. The second week they still look alright. But by the third week, your cuticles will start showing and you will want to remove them.
Also when I clean or do dishes I make sure to use rubber gloves for cleaning to protect my nails and this helps my manicure last longer.
imPRESS nails have a variety of designs…
Kiss imPress nails press has a variety of cute press-on nail designs. From Black tones to Pink tones and much more. Every holiday imPRESS nails come up with different creative, and unique designs. You can check out the nail designs that are available on Amazon, and Target has a wide selection too.
Kiss imPRESS nails also come with a variety of nail sizes in each package. I have hands with small nails and imPRESS nails fit perfectly!
What is the best way to remove these nails?
Let me tell you the best method to remove imPRESS nails so you don’t end up with damaged nails like me, but I admit it was my fault. It gets annoying when you start having a loose nail or when it gets lost. When you start having a loose imPRESS nail you can put it back on with nail glue. The other option is to put on a new imPRESS nail which you will most likely have leftovers since each package includes 30 nails.
The right way to remove imPRESS nails: You do not want to force or pull on the imPRESS nails. You gently peel off from the side to remove. If your imPRESS nails seem really ‘stuck’, apply acetone nail polish remover around the edges, wait 1 minute, and then peel off. You can use the enclosed wood stick to help lift the imPRESS nail at the sides.
Of course, I didn’t do the previous steps so I ended up with damaged nails but it was my own fault. I did not use nail acetone to remove my imPRESS nails and that is why I ended up with some damaged nails.
PROS and CONS of imPRESS Nails
As with everything, there are some pros and cons about imPRESS nails that I would like to share with you.

CONS of using imPRESS nails:
- imPRESS nails can get stuck to your hair if you’re trying to style it. You will have to move your hand back before you unstuck your hair.
- imPRESS nails can damage your nails if you do not remove them the proper way.
- Your real nail could sometimes be visible under imPRESS nails, but this is only natural.

This is pretty far outside my wheelhouse, but I can see the benefit for special events. Would be great for weddings and such!
Ooh what an interesting post. I don’t know too much about this, but I think you did a great job of reviewing the product!
These look really good and I have to say that these types of press on nails have come a long way since I was a kid. I will have to check these out because if they do indeed stay on… it would be awesome to use them to dress up an outfit in a flash.
I haven’t used pressed-on nails in so long, I kind of forgot they exist. Now I’m thinking it would be fun to try them again.
nice review!
I’ve only tried these kinds of nails once in my life when I was in my best friends wedding and all of the brides maids did it together. I’ll have to foward this to a friend of mine who loves dressing her nails up and using press ons.
i’ve used these a few times. But I always end up getting green nails from them. My nomal nail techinican said its because they aren’t shaped correctly for my shape of natural nail. theyre so pretty though!
I super love the color, very classy and perfect for Fall…I already shared it with my friend Alice…
I perfer pressed-on nails, My girls love to have fun to trying these.
I prefer stickers on nails then fake nails. They do look cute thought

Here’s a tip. Once a nails are secured and in place brush a coat of clear starting a tiny bit on top of skin on base of nail and continue to the tip. Once dry, use a brush with nail remover to clean up the base line between your base of nail and skin. This will create a seamless connection of the nail and hair won’t get stuck when you run your hands thru your hair. Also if your nail is shorter than impress nail and you have glue exposed underneath just brush clear polish underneath and it will seal it. Voila!!!
Those are great tips! Thank you for sharing :))
